| The Camel Trail, arguably the most scenic and successful recreational trail in the UK, commences a mile and a half from East Rose and adds a whole dimension to cycling in Cornwall by providing a superb off road route from the edge of the moor to the Atlantic Ocean at Padstow. Following the easy gradients of now closed railways the trail follows the River Camel down its beautiful valley to the superb beaches of Padstow, giving access to the marvellous Cornish countryside as it does so. The final stretch of the trail along the widening, spectacular Camel estuary as it joins the Atlantic Ocean is one of the most beautiful vistas in the West Country. The Camel Trail is an experience not to be missed! |
