Barn Cottage
Barn is one of the oldest of the original farm buildings dating back to the early 1800’s with original stone walls and a vaulted ceiling.
With an extension added in 1998, downstairs the cottage offers one double bedroom with shower room en-suite, one standard twin bedroom (or zip and link king bed), one small twin bedroom, a bathroom with overhead shower and upstairs to an open plan kitchen/lounge with dining area.
The ‘upside-down’ accommodation makes the most of the stunning views over our lakes and surrounding countryside.
Night storage heating throughout. April 2022 “Fantastic pet friendly ‘Barn Cottage’” We
have stayed at East Rose many times and the accommodation and
surroundings never fail to be fantastic. Matthew and Becky are great
hosts and their properties and grounds are beautifully looked after by
them. Their hospitality at East Rose is second to none. We love to spend
time enjoying the wildlife in the peace and tranquility of East Rose
and the coast is only a short drive away. There are plenty of places to
drive to and eat out when we don’t want to cook and the nearest pub
(with great food) is a lovely walk away when we don’t want to drive. We
stayed in Barn Cottage again as it offers amazing views from the ‘upside
down’ sitting area. As well as the views, it is spacious, spotlessly
clean, warm and comfortable with excellent facilities. It offers great
value for money and is dog friendly. Matthew, Becky, Edward, William and
Eloise are superb hosts and are so very kind and welcoming. Nothing is
too much trouble. Becky’s home cooked food is delicious and the
wonderful cream tea on arrival is a perfect touch. Thank you all again
for a wonderful stay. We hope we’ll see you again soon.
