Barn is one of the oldest of the original farm buildings dating back to the early 1800’s with original stone walls and a vaulted ceiling.
With an extension added in 1998, downstairs the cottage offers one double bedroom with shower room en-suite, one standard twin bedroom (or zip and link king bed), one small twin bedroom, a bathroom with overhead shower and upstairs to an open plan kitchen/lounge with dining area.
The ‘upside-down’ accommodation makes the most of the stunning views over our lakes and surrounding countryside.
Night storage heating throughout.
Barn - for a stay in May 2025 “Wonderful East Rose” We have visited East Rose many times over the years and we never tire of the superb surroundings of the moor and the grounds of East Rose, kept so beautifully by Matthew and Becky. We like to stay in Barn Cottage because of the upside down arrangement and the wonderful views seen from the upstairs. We love the peace and tranquility of the area and there is always something new to see and do on our walks and travels through the countrywide and coast. The cottage is always spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable with excellent facilities. Matthew, Becky, Edward, William and Eloise are so kind and welcoming and brilliant hosts. Becky’s home cooked food is definitely a must. This time we were welcomed with a selection of sweet treats. Delicious ! Thank you all again for a wonderful stay. Needless to say, we’ll be back!
